a lovely find...

Have you heard of Lulu Frost? Just discovered this line from Blair over at Delight by Design, and I love the over-the-top necklaces! Chunky, layered, with tons of gems and bows is the perfect style for the holidays – or any time for that matter... i'd pair one with a classic tee and jeans... let that necklace take center stage! Loving the Tulum and Plaza collections the most – those door numbers are such a great idea... i'll take an 8 please...

a cosy kind of coral...

Coral... a colour so often associated with summer. But with this warm weather we're having, it seems perfect for the sunny days of fall. After all, it does remind me a little bit of warm tea and fire flickering from a candle – necessary when it's dark by 5pm. Coral just has that cosy feeling about it when paired with fall hues. Worth picking up a {cardigan in coral} for the days when fall turns cool, no?

wood mix...

I'm not a huge fan of light wood (too many new houses around with the builder-chosen maple banister up the stairs - what's up with that anyways?) But with white... well, anything goes with white! And I love the rustic farmhouse look of an all white room and an old wooden chair. Even more glamorous with a crystal chandelier or flowering wall art... pretty no? I think I can start to like wood with this kind look, you?

monday monday...

Monday, monday... here again. How was your weekend everyone? I had a great day visiting with a friend (hi Nat!)... shopped around in a cute little town and stopped in for dinner - fish n' chips is always delicious... and was happy to enjoy yesterday's gorgeous and surprisingly warm weather! 16ºC in November is fine by me! Let's hope it continues into this week...

it's friday + links...

Arrived in no time this week, Friday is here once again. It's supposed to be a beautiful weekend... which is pretty exciting for November (you'll find during the winter season that nice, sunny days make me really excited – a practically 6 month winter season will do that to a person). I'm planning on taking it easy, visiting a friend in T.O. for a bit, and sleeping in of course! I'm also debating getting an iPhone (thoughts?) – my BB has been less than stellar lately. Hope you all have a great weekend though and thanks for stopping by this week, i've really enjoyed all your comments and the new blogger friends i've "met". Here's a few of this week's links...

Trying out this week's Why Don't You?
Try OPI, Essie or Rescue Beauty Lounge... more shades here...

first snow + muted tones...

It's official. It snowed... barely enough to stay on the ground but the first snow sort of ends my hopeful "Maybe summer will come back!" wishes, ha. As fall drifts away, i'm finding myself drawn to muted tones of pale yellows, rusting golds, and fading greys... i'm dying over this kitchen though... just the right amount of modern and french decor, love that chandelier! Hope you have a good end to the week... it's Friday!

girlish glamour + a feature...

Wouldn't it be great to have a whole house to dress up in over-the-top girlish glamour? Delicate details, shimmery with light pink touches... I love the look of french decor all in white like this... pretty, isn't it?

{Also today} Check out a few of my favourite things over on Heather's blog Gathering Spriggs, as part of her "Getting To Know..." series. It was fun to put together! Thanks Heather...

winter whites...

The sky was so white today I thought for sure it was going to snow... but looks like it's about to get a little warmer next week! Either way, I had to post some winter whites... a classic, crisp shirt, branches with tiny flowers, molding with intricate details and wall-to-wall white of course. I love how all white just makes a room gleam... it can look soft and romantic, fresh and energizing, new or old. Isn't it great how a lack of colour can take on so many different traits?

on my list...

I realized last night that it is most definitely November... there's a chill in the air now and i'm in need of a few winter necessities. Lately i'm loving long black leather gloves, maybe to go with my love of over-the-knee boots this season... a big cosy sweater is on the list... as well as a winter trench-like coat. Being on the petite side, you need that belt with your winter coat or risk being swamped in fabric! *Winter* is on it's way... what's on your list?

pale & perfect {lara stone}...

Layers and layers of tuelle and lace... ruffled flowers... and fitted corsets... aren't these photos just dreamy? Dressing up never looked so fun.

work {daydream} space...

Wouldn't it be lovely to have a bright, little working space like this? I like the mix of new and old ... I wonder what that bookcase was used for in it's first life?

walk-up wonder...

So I know walk-up apartments with 4 or 5 flights of stairs present all kinds issues on their own (I can see groceries making more than one trip up) but it doesn't stop me from dreaming about that romantic NY feel... classic apartments with intricate woodwork and lots of light. I love the front door with thick bordering trim and that fluffy couch looks so comfy... and with the glass table, it still looks roomy in that corner... i'm dying to find one like it. Light and airy is the way to go... for me anyways...
