chiffon + champagne truffles...

So, I might as well admit this now... but... I actually like Valentine's Day. I think it's fun! What's not to like about sending your friends cute little Valentine's cards or baking cupcakes & heart shaped cookies, dressing in a girly shade of pink and dashing off to dinner, or staying home to cook up a delicious meal with your loved one or a group of girlfriends? I don't think it has to be a big commercialized thing if you plan your own special Valentine's Day fun... what do you think?

Valentine's Day is my favorite celebration day of the year (sans my own birthday!).

Every. single. good thing that has ever walked into my life has happened during February. I love this month and all the pink, ruffles, sweet, champagne filled goodness it entails.

I can see where people are coming from, but I agree! It doesn't have to be a commercial holiday, make it special in your own way

I think nothing beats pink and red together!

I have a new recipe for a glossy chocolate icing that I can't wait to try out on some cupcakes. Perfect for Valentine's day.

I LOVE Valentine's Day! For me, it's always been a day for me and my girls, rather than just a "romantic" sort-of day. Even though I usually do a little something with my sweetie, I typically try to make the day more about the silly, sweet, sharing nature...I make frilly valentines for girlfriends and family, and always dream of having a girls-only tea party, complete with doilies and paper hearts!!

Oh yay! I'm so happy to hear there are still people who enjoy the holiday! No need to boycott it at all... just make it your own, lol...

Aww, this image brings back great memories -- my David bought me these very pink truffles because I had seen the packaging before + have always wanted to try it...they sold it at this stunning tea shop that visited right after a meeting. I was so happy...and then he bought me two...beautiful images + memories :)

I like Valentine's Day too and your attitude -- I'm a true romantic...
