a tale of topiaries...

I love topiaries... small, large, short, tall, simple globes, twisting trees, or animal-shaped. It's like fashioning a plant into the perfect outfit. I think it'd be great to take a trip one day visiting all the amazingly manicured gardens of the world. Imagine the photos you'd get from that trip!

What great whimsical shapes! And I love the weathered Anduze planters. I'm dreaming of sunny Provence on this dreary, rainy day (in Connecticut).

Let me know if you find one! I've been looking around as well... no one seems to have them...

There is something about topiaries...they make me want to sip a glass of bordeaux in the south of France! (of course, when do I NOT want to do that?!) these are gorgeous finds, and definitely inspiration for my future garden...

Love topiaries, they are a whole lot of work to keep them right, but then, what isn't? In Houston we have The River Oaks Flower House with the largest collection of topiaries I've ever seen...animals, shapes, anything you can imagine...all for sale, and sitting in the middle of an esplanade next to one of our best neighborhoods. Lovely post. Come see me someday. xx's Marsha
