garden anywhere...

We're having some pretty amazing weather here right now, as it's hot, hot, hot! Perfect time to get all my planting done and pots set up on the balcony... 10 plants, 4 pots, and 1 bag of soil later, my little retreat is looking beautiful and smelling absolutely wonderful! There's nothing like the brilliant red of a blooming flower or the scent of fresh herbs. I'm looking forward to adding to my collection throughout the season, and hoping to find a wine box like the Veuve Clicquot above... so perfect for a few red geraniums, no?

Have you started planting a summer garden or some simple balcony blooms?

I love the idea of the planter on the window sill. The vintage wood box is such a great touch!

What a brilliant idea. I will have to copy this one.
I just have to figure out where to get the wooden wine-champagne boxes. They always come in paper boxes these days or?
Have a wonderful garden day! I will have to go and buy some more tomato plant stabilizers:)

So pretty, Daniella! I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of your balcony all done up :)

I'm hoping to have three iron window boxes put outside by bedroom window, with some beautiful blossoms...but for now, I enjoy my Mum's large garden...and my little pink rose plant in my space...

Wishing you a lovely day,

xoxo

Marcie - I love that my balcony has some life to it now! flowers are great...

Kristin & Fab Finds - I found a few french wine crates through my local LCBO... but i'm up in Canada, and since this is the only place you can buy alcohol, this is the one-stop place to find them.

I would call your local liquor store, as well as any wineries in the area. Also, some high-end restaurants will get in lots of orders of expensive champagne and wines, so they might have them too. More and more brands are using cardboards boxes, but the more expensive the product, the better chance you have of finding that it comes in a wooden crate...

Good luck!
