weekend wishes + a "new" bicycle...

Goodmorning and welcome to a new week! How was your weekend everyone? Time has just flown by, but overall it was a wonderful weekend for myself. Unfortunately though, due to the off-again on-again rain, my thoughts of a picnic-in-the-park were put to rest for the time being. When oh when will I have the first picnic of the season! Hopefully next weekend will be gorgeous and sunny out, as i'm hoping to have as many bike-rides and picnics as I can this season...

Which brings me to my "new" bike... on Saturday I picked it up from my Grama's house where my Dad put some new tubing in the tires, then I cleaned it up and polished it for hours. It was well worth it though, as it's all shined up and ready to go. I didn't need to purchase new tires after-all, so it still has the original white-walled ones from Italy. Can't you just picture it with a cute basket in the front and some new handles to match the leather seat? It even has a little tool kit attached to the back and working lights powered by the tires. Oh and the bell is a little addictive, lol... felt like a little kid again!

Can't wait to go out on the next ride... if anyone knows of some great places to get a basket, do tell!

I've been trying to find the time to ride my bike for weeks now! I have a stupid black wire basket from Walmart, nothing fancy. But I think I'm going to attempt to put my teeny pom in it this year... haha he may have nightmares. Love yours, it's way cooler than my high school Huffy!

Hurray for a cute new bike! You could get the Carrie bicycle basket
http://morba.myshopify.com/products/carrie-bicycle-basket

or a lovely wicker one (there is a shop that sells them on Queen W in TO)

Your bike is gorgeous. For some strange reason I can envision you on the bike, bicycling merrily and I haven't even met you! Congratulations. I love bicycling. Do enjoy!

I love your bike! I love riding mine around town -- but it's a yucky mountain bike. But it works really well -- and I've managed not to let it be stolen for 10 years! (I'm sure that I've just jinxed that now)
good luck with the basket!

Its obviously the season for new bikes as yours is the 3rd blog I've read this evening about them! I love my bike too - I live in NL so spend half my life on it! I have a Trek City bike in white and blue with panniers in grey with white flowers on - so cute! My little 20 month old girl sits up front waving and saying Hi to everyone we pass. Happy cycling on your lovely green bike.
