beautiful type :: daydream...

Recently I stumbled across the portfolio of Anastassia Nelson, and just about died when I saw her gorgeous Daydream typeface. It was created as "an experimental font ... by painting dye on white cotton sheets of fabric". Have you ever seen characters so colourful and dreamy? I love it! Sadly though, it's not available to actually purchase and use (It's part of her portfolio, as I already asked if I could buy it, lol)... but it sure is lovely to daydream over...

You can check out Anastassia's portfolio here (there's a Virgin Suicides book design that's also swoon-worthy!), and her blog here.

This reminds me of a little thing I used to do with watercolors. I would drip big droplets onto paper and then blow them around with a straw. I think I should try that technique out again.
