decorating weekend...

This weekend I took the time to pull out the Christmas decorations and set up the tree, in comfy PJ's with a cup of tea (or two) of course. I'm going for a classic, old Christmastime look, sort of Victorian, with handmade ornaments and garland. And with a whole bunch of sparkling lights, cranberries, popcorn, and pinecones later, my tree is looking pretty good! Just keeping an eye out now for some vintage looking ornaments in bronze-coloured hues. Loving these shots above too, from TOAST's Christmas catalogue, they have so many great goodies for the holidays and keeping cozy warm this Winter...

Have you started decorating for Christmas yet? I'd love to know what colours everyone is using!

Tartan is so perfect for this holiday season. Sounds like your decor is warm and inviting!

We've done mint/pistachio and gold ornaments the past couple of years. I think this year I will add some blue and maybe some peacock feathers.

Perfection! I can't wait to get home and decorate. It's all about metallics and fir branch and white light arrangements for me this year.

Such pretty inspiration photos- I'm still not sure what I'm doing this year- feeling rather behind on that front but we shall see. Sounds like you had a lovely weekend!

Decorating with candles is such an inspirational idea. I didn't realize that putting up a bunch of mismatching candles can create this mysterious yet comforting atmosphere.
