ballet-inspired...

I'm not sure if I mentioned this already, but i'm taking beginner ballet class on Wednesday nights now. It's so much fun and quite the workout. You wouldn't think it, but with all the balance, lengthening and pointing, my muscles are definitely feeling it. I'm really liking it though! Slowly, the steps from my childhood ballet days are coming back to me too, lol. And who doesn't love a pretty pair of ballet slippers?

Isn't the book cover above so fun? I would snap that up in a second if I saw it in an antique store!

So impressed you've decided to take the class! When I was younger I thought being a prima ballerina was the most glam job in the world and I loved pointe shoes...until I realized what they do to your feet.

My mother so wanted me to take ballet classes as a young girl but I was too busy playing baseball and football to care. Of course now I wish I had, for the experience. Have a great time.

Enjoy your ballet class! I studied dance for almost 20 years but I still love to take a beginner class to really focus on the basics. And ballerina-inspired fashion never goes out of style!

That is just fabulous...it's something I really wanted to improve my posture. I can always spot a dancer by her beautiful posture.

Oh my. You continue to inspire me. I took ballet as a child and teenager and I will forever miss it. Prints of Ballet paintings by Degas hung in my childhood bedroom. I am ready to go back for adult ballet.
