spring comforts...

Wouldn't it be great to have a lovely country home like this to escape to on the weekends as Spring draws near? I like the idea of grouped branches or green flowers for Spring instead of the usual bright tulips or daffodils, for something a little different every once and a while. Plus, I love that Spring allows for t-shirts and dresses made from cozy knit, when you want to head out without a jacket, even though you know it's just a little bit too chilly for that in reality, lol. Most of all though, I think it's nice to be able to have a home away from home for leisurely Sunday brunch, and early morning walks with nature... a pretty thought, isn't it?

It does sound lovely. I think it would be nice to just be able to get away and just relax. I would maybe just add a swing overlooking a river or small creek but maybe that's just me? lol

As spring draws closer for you, winter draws ever nearer for us. Though I have to say, it has been so hot this summer I'm actually looking forward to it!

I am a constant leisure/pleasure traveller, always finding new places that charm me to death. But, after all, I come home, I love being home, I love my own garden with the beautiful things I've created with my own hands. This is really living, to me. xx's

That's so lovely.. Just what I'm dreaming of at the moment: a country house to escape to, away from the busy, dirty town life.
I love your blog, the pictures and the way you express yourself. It always strikes a chord in my heart, and makes me fall into a reverie about the beauty and joys of life. Thank you! <3

Yes, I have dreamed of having a country retreat for a long time. A place big enough to host family and dear friends, but small enough to be intimate and relaxed.
It would be lovely for all seasons.

Gorgeous post.

Cool sweater. This is a perfect feel for the crisp March-not quite spring weather.

My fiance and I are looking for our "Gingerhouse". We love a bit of elbow-room between us and the neighbors. A country setting would be best, but in our area the choices are rather sparse. LOVE the postings and especially the content!

All my best,
HH

So beautiful and yes, a very pretty thought. I love your interpretation of spring as a reversal of fall with rich earth tones and knits. Thank you for sharing!

Beautiful collection Danielle. It is lovely to be able to live in the country and just be able to visit and enjoy city life in short bursts.
