statement piece...

It's always the simplest of things that make the ultimate statement, no? I definitely need to add a classic white shirt to my wardrobe... it's just about finding that perfect fit. Do you have a favourite white shirt?

JCrew makes a great, affordable white button up.
I stockpile them!

How cute are those shorts?! I love how she looks like she just hasn't tried, yet she looks brilliant :)

I love this! I cannot find a good shirt to fit me because I'm larger on top. I love the baggy look... so comfy!

I have been on the lookout for a new white shirt. I had one that I wore all the time, but the sleeves ended up too short. It's hard to find the perfect (affordable) button up.

That's so true! Jenna Lyons always talks about how many white button downs and black blazers she has (and how her husband doesn't get it) in interviews. Timeless, classic and versatile pieces are everything!

I love how simple and classy it is. I don't have a single one in my closet though. :(

I have a new favourite white shirt. I love staple pieces that fit well that you can wear all year long!

ooh, that's a good one - white shirts are deceptively tricky (for me, at least), but i love the relaxed styling of this one.

I lo oooo ve my favorite white shirt. It's a fine, thin cotton with a little extra give & details on the side... perfect tucked into my favorite black skinnies :)

p.s I adore this one, too! I might have to look at it.

Ugh, I need a crisp white shirt as well. I always have a hard time keeping mine unwrinkled though!

My sister and I are obsessed with finding the perfect white button up and between the two of us probably own 50!!
Our favorites:

For fitted, with slight stretch and flattering material when you need to look sharp and professional: Theory

For the classic oxford cotton: Rugby

For the casual, thinner cotton, oversized fit: (not dress shirt material, just like a standard button up cotton): J. Crew "boyfriend" fit or whatever they call it. (This is my favorite for everyday, it doesn't look too "done up," is fine wrinkled.)

For soft gauzy double-face weave linen with snap pockets: American Eagle (seriously. Perfect bathing suit cover up.)

For slightly eccentric cuts and materials, like silk with military details, epaulets: Zara!

Good luck finding your favorite(s)!
